About the John Griss Charity

The John Griss Charity has been set up to manage the estate of the late John Griss which was left to Clayhidon Parish Council for the benefit of Clayhidon parish. The Parish Council is the sole Trustee and its seven members meet on a regular basis to manage the assets of the charity.

Charity aims:

To manage the assets of the estate:

  • Hartsmoor Fisheries
  • Land adjacent to the Hartmoor Fisheries for agricultural purposes
  • To invest funds to provide a long-term legacy for the residents of Clayhidon parish
  • To provide grants to individuals and organisations that operate for the benefit of residents of Clayhidon parish
  • To provide Open Space for the wellbeing of residents

To achieve these aims volunteer consultants assist the Trustees.

Open Meetings:
