The 3 Daft Monkeys’ return to Clayhidon’s stage was more than welcomed by gig-goers, and they were not disappointed. From the start, their fabulous music got everyone’s hips swaying and toes tapping, and the audience were soon gravitating to the large dance area.
Although essentially a folk band, these musicians could tackle any genre, and delighted everyone with their huge range of exciting music. They played from sweet and romantic through colourful and intricate to wild and spirited.
Each member of the band had their own excepional style, and played breath-holding solos.
The final number had everyone up and dancing, and was rewarded with the loudest of cheers, as was the Band’s encore performance. Thank you 3 Daft Monkeys. We’ll see you again.
As before, the event had been a sellout, and Hall funds had a welcome boost.
A buffet supper provided by the Hall committee was very much appreciated.
