3. Minutes of meeting It was noted that there were a number of errors on the council minutes of the meeting of 12 June 2023 and Mr Saunders undertook to amend them as follows: Remove Mrs Evans from the list of those present and list in apologies. Correct the date of the minutes approved at the meeting. Correct the name of the Mary Parsons Gift charity.It was RESOLVED that with these changes, the minutes could be approved and signed by the Chairman. |

4. Public Participation Members of the public spoke on the following:Planning application 23/01058/FULL noting it was a non-designated heritage asset and that the applicant had worked closely the planning department to meet the conservation officer’s recommendations. The front of the building would retain its traditional stone features whilst contrasting materials would be used to identify the extension. The applicant hoped that the Parish Council would support restoring the residence.The John Griss charity which was looking to restore Rose Cottage and provide affordable homes for residents of Clayhidon whilst meeting its charitable obligations. Drains blocked at Graddage Farm. |

5. Matters Arising There were no matters brought forward from the previous meeting. |

6. Planning 6.1 To consider the following planning applications: 23/01058/FULL Proposal: Restoration and erection of extension to Trood’s Cottage and erection of garden shed Location: Land and Buildings at NGR 318115 111253 Trood’s Cottage Clayhidon Site Vicinity Grid Ref: 318115 / 111253 Parish: Clayhidon 15The Parish Council had received an extension to 15 August 2023 to allow the application to be discussed at a meeting. The Parish Council RESOLVED that it had no objection to the application which sought to restore a historic building and provide an additional residence in the village.23/01194/LBC Proposal: Listed Building Consent for demolition of single storey extension, alterations to the fenestration on all elevations, and internal alterations to the ground and first floor layout Location: Gollick Park Battle Street Clayhidon Site Vicinity Grid Ref: 316405 / 114939 Parish: Clayhidon 15 The Parish Council RESOLVED that it had no objection to the application which sought to modernize an existing listed building in line with all authority requirements and meeting the needs of the conservation officer. 8. Clerk Update Mrs McGeever introduced herself to the Parish Council members and advised she was stepping in temporary clerk and that she was currently clerk for Halberton and Sampford Peverell Parish Councils and was also helping out Hemyock. |

9. County Council Report Councillor Radford had provided a written report.It was hoped he would attend the next meeting. |

10. District Council Report Councillor Clist advised that Mid Devon were in their second round of meetings and he would be able to give an update in September.Mid Devon was moving forward and had been awarded three awards as well as receiving grant funding. |

11. Highways Chris Hougton had been undertaking pothole repairs around the parish.The Highways Maintenance Team had provided 56 tubs of tarmac in 2022/23 and the Clerk would contact them to see if additional tarmac could be delivered. Grant funding could also be obtained for equipment if needed. |
